How to Play — a fan project inspired by Sea of Thieves
The Goal
Sink the enemy ship before yours goes under. Your ship starts at 17 HP. Reach 0 and you lose the battle — and your streak resets.
Your Two Fighters
Your Ship (17 HP) — the main target. Protect it at all costs. Lose all its HP and the run is over.
Your Pirate (5 HP) — attacks, heals, and causes chaos. If they die, they're sent to the Ferry of the Damned and respawn next turn. Penalty: your next turn you get −1 mana and −1 card.
Crew Shortage — each pirate kill permanently adds +1 ship damage per turn to the victim's ship (cumulative). Kill their pirate twice and their ship takes 2 extra damage at the start of every turn. This is the main reward for going for pirate kills.
How a Turn Works
Each turn you get 3 mana — spend it or lose it, it doesn't carry over. You draw up to a hand of 5 cards at the start of each turn. Play as many cards as your mana allows, then end your turn. When your deck runs out, your discard pile reshuffles and you draw again.
Card Types
🔵 Naval — damage the enemy ship directly
🔴 Pirate — attack the enemy pirate
🟢 Repair — restore HP to your ship
🟩 Healing — restore HP to your pirate
🟡 Chaos — disrupt, draw, buff, or gamble
Cards marked Consumed vanish after use instead of going to discard. Powerful, but you only get them once per deck cycle.
The Streak
Win a battle and your streak grows. Lose — your ship sinks — and it resets to zero. The goal is to reach streak 10. That's when you become a Pirate Legend.
Battle Modifiers
Each battle after the first introduces a new rule that makes things progressively more challenging.
Open Waters — No modifier.
Storm Brewing — Both ships take 2 damage every 3 turns.
Cursed Waters — All healing effects are reduced by 1.
Red Sea — Increasing damage every 3 turns to both ships. The ship with the lowest HP sinks when the zone closes.
Skeleton Armada — Every 3 turns, the ship with the highest HP takes 3 damage.
Keg Run — 40% chance each turn that both players receive an Explosive Keg. Play it to deal 3 damage to the enemy ship, or take 2 damage to your own ship at the end of the turn.
Megalodon Waters — Every 5 turns, the Megalodon hits a random ship for 5 damage.
Siren Fog — Both players draw 1 fewer card.
Hit Reg Fiesta — All pirate cards have a 50% chance to miss.
The Kraken Awakens — Every 4 turns, the Kraken hits a random ship for 3 damage and disables naval cards for 1 turn.
Rewards
Win a battle and choose one reward — either a new card added to your deck, or a permanent run bonus. Rewards come in three tiers: Common, Rare (from battle 4), and Legendary (from battle 7). You can only pick one Legendary per run.
